Well, taking them for a holiday in the sun isn't going to help a lot is it. Been following Digne on Instagram and it feels like he has given the players 3 days off

Good post.

Bernard so far has done nothing.

Gomes had a purple patch that lasted a few games.

Digne lost his head a few times.

Mina looks a liability.

Bernard has shown defensive qualities and commitment way beyond any other Everton forward player. He is/was second in the league behind Silva for chances created. Is not his fault that dummies like Dominic stand around when they should be attacking and chasing though balls.

By all accounts they didn’t trouble us in the first half, he went off at half time after we conceded a goal that wasn’t his fault and then Zouma came on and we got bullied for the rest of the game.

Aside from Digne and Richarlison there's question marks over Bernard's final ball and finishing, Mina's ability to defend, and Gomes' fitness and mentality.

Digne and Richarlison both started well but have suffered along with the rest of the team these past few months. They've been good but I don't think you can claim they have all worked when it looks like we face a challenge to finish in the top half after finishing 8th with ease last season.

Silva hasn't improved any of the players since he's been here and that's what we have to judge him on. His signings are alright but we can't wait for him to sign a whole new squad before he starts delivering.

Again, a fair comment but I do disagree on the fact that he can be fully judged until it is his whole team, playing a system designed for his tactics! Don't get me wrong, I'm certainly not happy with the current drivel that we're having to watch, but think that that's exactly what we need to do, allow him 18 months to establish a full team, once the Walsh / Koeman era is finally rid of !
