When he took over Hull they were bottom of the league. Below Sunderland in their infamous season. They were three points from safety.

They did indeed go down with more points from safety than when he started. They were 6 points from safety.

They lost arguably their three best players in the Jan he arrived. Snodgrass and Livermore were sold, Ryan Mason had that awful head collision that forced him to retire.

They got 13 points until he joined. They accumulated 21 from when he was hired to the end of the season.

Far from a myth.
Silva is basically a poor mans Big Sam, so he kept them up once, so what, we didn't get Silva to help keep us up

He really isnt. People give Sam a lot of guff, but he is honstly one of the best at what he does. I didnt want him, and I dont want him back, but how anyone with a grain of footballing knowledge claims him to be bad at his job is beyond me(you didnt, just talking here). Silva would need to prove himself for a decade, doing the most thankless, boring, yet high pressure jobs in the prem to be mentioned in the same sentence. A lot of decent to good managers have gone down with teams, but Sam constantly avoids it, no matter how bad the team is. He is amazing at what he does, and deserves credit.
Again tho, would not want him back. Too boring football.

to be fair, it's not so much the job he does why people hate fatty ( and that was horrific ) it's his whole attitude and deludedness, I genuinely hated him because of the things he would say, I accept why he played the way he did to get us back to basics and it worked to be fair, it's just him as a person I couldn't stand

fat mess

Fair, yet people attack him on more than his personality. They claim he doesnt know what he’s doing, blahblah, which is just surreal. If its one thing BFS knows, its pragmatic football.
