What changes can he make? He has three competent central players - Gomes, Sigurdsson, and Gana. An 8, a 10, and a 6. No one else. He doesn't have a single decent CF.

Do some of you realize he inherited the worst defensive team in the league last year? Blame him for set pieces, but give the guy credit for turning us into a decent defensive team in open play. That's with a Keane Zouma pairing. And a RB that's a terrible fit in his system coming off a tough injury.

You always act like it's personal Tim. He's not trying to lose. At the moment he doesn't look like he has a clue and that's a worry. I don't think it's arrogance.

We have to stop chopping and changing managers in the middle of a season. It doesn't help. Sack now and you have to bring in a fire fighter and it just makes the entire situation worse.

He gets a whole season, it's wasted now anyway. And then come the end of it there'll be serious questions. It's either we go forward with a clear remit of where he needs to be after a certain number of games, or we say goodbye.

I'm still firmly in the camp where sacking him now would be the wrong decision, yet my concerns are growing week by week. He needs to make changes soon!

However, the above statement is what worries me the most as he's whipping a dead horse at the moment with his tactics (Plan A), when it clearly isn't working.

When this doesn't work, which is frankly quite frequent at the moment, he usually then goes to a 4-4-2 (Plan B) which itself isn't particularly effective.

I understand sticking by your beliefs or approach in the mainstay, but it is now echoing Martinez's stubbornness and rigidity. If it doesn't work, then change it.

The most effective managers still have a particular style of play, however they're savvy enough to adapt depending on particular needs: opponents or situations.

If you're simply a one-trick pony and things aren't working then quite quickly things will start to unravel. We saw it with Martinez, Koeman and arguably Sam.

BFS didn't get better results points-wise. Beyond that, if you want to go back to packing it in, creating nothing, focusing strictly on set pieces, be my guest.

Have you got a stat to back that up mate, because I don't think it is true? We also had Cuco Martina playing left back last season, and Silva has an additional 80 million pounds worth of defenders at his disposal in comparison to last season.

I agree, it’s not like he can make loads of changes.

If Silva was to go, assuming Brands thinks he is not getting as much from this set of players then fine - but, honestly I don’t think we are capable regardless of who is in charge of turning it around until we can bring in better players.

And on that, I don’t see Brands getting rid of Silva.

He's far from a one trick pony, but he doesn't have the personnel to play the way he would like. He's played with 3 at the back, he's gone 4-4-2.

How BAD must Schneiderlin be for him to not play his 4-3-3? He can't play his 4-3-3 with two pivots because he only has Gana, who isn't really the right type to begin with.

In terms of changes, I know it’s not our job - but, what changes can he make to the team?

I feel that we play into oppositions hands with regards to how open we set up. Would we benefit from playing Gana deeper and having Gylfi alongside Gomes? I hope Silva does get the team firing again, but suspect it will prove difficult as we have so little options to push first teamers.

I'm not in love with Silva, but you can't bring in a guy that primarily plays two systems and not give him the proper players. Unfortunately, that's going to take more than one window.

I believe (I am an optimist, for my sins) Silva will push us on with the summer window bringing in 3/4 key players to suit his system.

It’s just getting through to the summer now.

I disagree about the club been a national embarrassment. No one takes a blind bit of notice of us any more.

This, the reason I do anything but watch the tv when we're on it. It's cringeworthy and I've wondered if we have the worst win ratio of any team when being shown live.

Could you imagine Marco Silva dealing with Cuco Martina at left back and Ashley Williams in the centre of defence? We'd have had no chance!
