From the (Villa) outside looking in, if it were a choice between these two to take over when gerrard was sacked i'd be disappointed; however, its a needs much situation now and if those are the only options I'd go for dyche.
I haven't seen much of you this season other than at villa park and the odd brief glimpse on MOTD so I can honestly say i have no idea how you are playing individually, but looking at the comments here O'Neill has been terrible. Except he's not a terrible player. He was one of the hottest properties at burnley for years and one of the crown jewels they could shift when they went down. That he's not doing well at Everton says more about the bigger picture perhaps than the player. The manager who got the most out of him is Dyche, and with tarkowski too, that would represent almost 1/5th of his Burnley side at Everton. It would be likely he would get a tune out of the both of them. Given that you've got Coady there already you'd have a stronger defence as Dyche would make you difficult to beat.
I'd also ignore the stats above as Dyce has had a smaller budget to use and Leeds would always be a bigger pull than Burnley. But when you watched - and still the same now to a lesser or greater degree - Leeds under Bielsa it always seemed that at some point he'd be found out with his tactics. Leeds survived as you did last year because they sacked him at the right time and got the new manager bounce. Burnley still went down because they realised too late that Dyche was virtually making a silk purse out of a sow's ear, and he was getting everything out of his players.
I think with Dyche you'll become harder to beat and therefore will have a chance of surviving. With Bielsa - with none of his own players - he's going to be trying to be playing a brand of football with players that do not on the outside look like they would be able to play a high octane on the front foot pressing game. With Bielsa I think you'd be in greater trouble and would probably go down.
