Your right but none of that applies to brands it's totally unclear what his job remit is yes ideally the dof creates the footballing ethos and strategy going forward and not left with a squad comprising 4 or 5 past managers players and an unbalanced squad .
It's not that long ago we had 4 or 5 number 10s now don't have one

If/when Brands goes and we get a new DoF we'll then know if he was duff or if Moshiri is just another idiot rich owner.

And there is the issue. Real muddy water.
Maybe its to old school for the fancy game now but i cant imagine Moyes would have had any of that. And rightly so imo. A few scouts to report back to him but his decision was final. His due diligence. Who's character he wanted in the dressing room before kick off. Not a dof's
Maybe he is just a glorified scout.
Brands and Everton isnt sitting well with me right now though. Hasnt for a while but ive sat on it to see how it developed. As much as i want to tell him to clear his desk for iwobi everybody has one big disaster(was it even him or silva?)
But its come to a head now with the fullback cover and striker cover.
Ditch the dof tag because if that job is what its supposed to be then you're failing.

But but but iwobi wants to play there. He's told everyone its his best role and he's a Zico just waiting to shine.
