Only an idiot could imply that he's been responsible for all of our signings. Managers have had far too much of a say. How else can you explain the likes of Tosun AND Rondon? James Rodriguez was clearly an Ancelotti signing etc.

But that works both ways - Silva clearly had a hand in Richarlison and Doucoure two of Brands best signings.

He signed a new deal knowing his role - no sympathy whatsoever.

His lack of communication did himself no favours at all. Said it before our club has a pattern of being noisy after a few decent results but quiet when things are not going well and that’s not leadership or what custodians should be about.
