Strange though because potentially dropped points will mean lower placings = less money won, swings and roundabouts. I think the team should be in place as much as possible by July, we haven't made a single first team move.

I think everyone agrees, but we’re hamstrung by financial requirements. The cash is there, just can’t be spent until money starts moving in. Then the deals can be restructured over periods of time to show the financial gods “eh, look at us we’re dead healthy”

We absolutely clowned it in the first few years of Moshiri's ownership, trying to be cool by splashing the cash without due care or the realisation that getting it wrong could hamstring the club for many years to come.

Brands isn't the chief offender, but he hasn't done a very good of trying to mitigate the effects either.
