Josh King is a better finisher than Dom.

Would you rather him than DCL if starting one up top then?

I doubt if Josh King scores more than Dom, with Doms chances ,and King has never proven himself to be a good finisher in the PL

When I told you that DCL scores at a higher rate you made it about finishing 1v1s. I agree to an extent if a striker is scoring then the flaws don't really matter that much but that is the case for DCL not Richarlison.

Dom scored more than Ricarlison because he was being played as a striker and Ricarlison as a winger
Now Ricarlison is being played as a striker and he is scoring at a good rate 6 in 6/7 I think

I tried to filter it out and DCL was slightly ahead still. I mean it isn't a big gap but it is Dom.

Does it matter how he scores, as long as he scores. Van Nistelroy never scored a goal for Man Utd from outside the penalty area, didn't hear any of their fans complaining about that.

King has scored more PL goals than DCL whilst only playing about 30 more games.

Ricarlison does start ahead of DCL in a lone forward role
Better if you can start both but you need a much better midfield and FBs to play 2 up top

But aside from finishing DCL is better at all the lone striker requirements than Richy?

Depends on the style of play the manager wants
Long balls up to the striker and he holds it up then DCL
Proper passing attractive football then Ricarlison

It does if you expect him to score from passes in behind and be the main man
A striker is judged purely on goals

I'd say that Richarlison is too easily bullied to play as a lone striker, and it's difficult to compete in midfield with two up top these days.

Since this is the Brands thread, I'd also argue that while Calvert-Lewin is a good player, there's no reason why the club shouldn't be looking to find another option to push him for his place.

-- We have 2 options for attacking midfield in James / Sigurdsson

-- In Doucoure, Allan and Davies we have 3 central options.

-- We need a right back



Unless were buying a RB + RW + LW + CM then we shouldnt really play wide attackers...too expensive.

If we go with a midfield diamond we'd only 'need' a RB + 2×CM.

That should be cheaper and we get high quality.

Surprised you have not mentioned we need a a CB
Playing 2 up front with James at the point of a diamond leaves us struggling in MF unless they are all top quality

Thought so, but some folk are hell bent on screwing Brands. Which I do not agree, look at the players he has brought in and those he has shifted.
