At the end of the day, the majority shareholder gets to do what the majority shareholder wants. Marcel's desires and ideas be damned.

If Moshiri flubs this I think we lose Brands.

To be honest mate some tinpot manager in China has just turned us down.

Every single manager we have approached has turned us down.

Nobody wants the job bar Moyes.

If Moyes is appointed it clearly shows he's being undermined in the top level and this where the problem lies, If we aren't giving everything to Brands to have the final say then it's pointless. Brands would never consider Moyes.
Supposedly Brands wanted to keep Silva, so maybe undermining him is not a bad idea. Especially after his antics in the transfer market this past summer.

If we re-appoint David Moyes, what is this purpose of this absolute nob head?

He’s paid millions per year to oversee all senior team issues and was brought in to bring a fresh feel and fresh approach to the club and his first managerial appointment is David Moyes?

Or does he have zero say on managerial appointments and is just here to sign players? Or has he been told to keep his nose out of this appointment because Jabba the hut Kenwright makes the ultimate decisions?

What exactly is his role?

Kenwright has clearly outmanoeuvred him. Brands is finished at the club when Moyes comes in, as he won't even be signing players any more.

All the media raports claim Moshiri and Kenwright are responsible for talks with a candidates for our new manager. So the question is what's Brands job then if he hasn't any say in picking the man who will have to work with him? Why do we even need him then?

Shambles of a club. I dont believe Ancelotti would want to be part of this circus.

Since when have the media got anything right about Everton in recent times ?
Because so little information is leaking from the club we see journalists guessing about what may happen.
By now if the media were right we would have Howe, Moyes or Pereira as manager. They are so unaware of how Everton is run they talk about Moshiri/Kenwright with barely a mention of Brands.

I cannot help but feel that there may be a target or two that have not even been mentioned yet. Ancelotti would be a huge coup but we have to accept that it isn't a deal that will be easily done.
Clubs like Arsenal and Bayern are also looking for managers and Ancelotti and Pochettino will probably be on their radar as well leaving people like Marcelino and Kovacs still available, the Ajax manager is another and he certainly would be known to Brands.
The delay may also be because we are talking to a club about a manager still in employment and they may want to bring in a replacement first.

There are so many permutations and so little genuine inside information known that most of what we hear is guesswork.

The sacking of Silva with no apparent replacement is on him. Argue all you want. Romanticize about big Dunc but it’s papering over the cracks.

there isn’t a strategy for continuity in place otherwise we wouldn’t be going game to game with an inexperienced coach in charge.
