Seems like he brought in a lot of mediocre players and kids that 'may' come good. Add in the panic at the end and overall, I'm disappointed.
In all honesty the only player I thought was ‘mediocre ‘ was Delph.
I have to say though at Wigan his passing range and accuracy was very good. So I am actually more comfortable with this signing especially for the price.
All the rest I think are very good players , Kean was a very good signing in my opinion.
Iwobi is far better player already then people are currently willing to give him credit for.
I think people are just sulking because we didn’t sign an overpriced ‘celebrity footballer’ to be honest.

We’ve had more than enough “mediocre” players in recent years, I don’t think the current intake fall into that category personally!

When your manager says signing a centerback is the number 1 priority. When your starting centerback is facing a ban for a gambling incident. When the same starting centerback struggled mightily at times and is prone to injury. Then yes, not signing another centerback, is a failure.

To me at least

Im a half full kinda guy.

Terrible at selling. Loans out to many players.

All his principles of signing young players goes out the window when it’s easy for him.

Too much pressure for him, and he didn’t deal with it well this window.

At PSV there is 5 kids who can ‘do a job’ in first team if there’s an injury. It doesn’t work like that in the premiership.

He’s noicibly slow and that’s because of the pace PSV operate, hopefully over time he improves.

I won’t repeat myself, but I think most who have read my posts, know who I want to replace him with.
FFS the season hasn't even started yet what a bundle of joy you are . Bet me last tenner the ale house emptys when you walk in

For me, it’s put a dampener on what had been a rather successful window. It’s not the end of the world, so I don’t really get all the bed wetting...

...but, I don’t think we can afford to be all over the place at the back like we were for parts of last year. I expect we’ll already be looking at January.
