Marathon Or Snickers?

Why on earth did they change the name of this delightful choclate bar, admitedly it is my favourite choccy bar and tastes no different so why the change. Can anyone else recall changes of other brands of chocolate or confectionery that has changed it's name?

I'd be amazed if they came packaged like they used to with the gollywog head on the wrapper.

I think it's because they've always been snickers in America and it's easier for the parent company to market iirc.

They do in home & bargains, my bird got me us a big pack of each for a quid last week.
