Nothing wrong with the thread aside from some 21st century snowflakes still bitching about an incident in 1986 and lets face it they are the only ones to be saying derogatory things about Maradona the world over - maybe Peter Shilton has multiple social media accounts?

Funnily enough you should say that but you clearly haven't a clue about Maradona, quite a few people have said he had a reputation of Muhammad Ali status and even immortality status in Argentina. But you along with all the other bitters on here just bang on about the hand of god and cocaine, its funny really as cocaine would inhibit his performance if anything but the Brits refer to his cocaine use as if it was making him the player that he was
Please point me to a single post I've made banging on about the hand of God or cocaine, you absolutely massive weirdo.

And I'm still waiting for evidence that JFK/Pope John Paul II ever went to Moscow (random screenshots from a documentary you've misunderstood don't count).

The Pele that defeated the Nazis even while seriously injured by the kind of tackle that would have left Neymar in ICU you mean?
No idea on how Pele will go..
But.. the letter B seems significant..

Best - Bevvie
Maradona - Beak
Cryuff - Bifters
Pele - Boner ?

A documentary from the National Geographic, how about take it up with them. ?

You are not particularly banging on about drugs and the hand of god but clearly you are bitter, the fact you are British is testimony to that, its odd that the only people having a go at Maradona seem to be Brits

And it looks like you might be joining Micah Richards soon on a solo kneeling salute on Zoom as it looks to be kicking off now on various forums - don't worry you can plant a USA flag on the telly and a picture of George F on the wall.

The rest of us will focus on the footie ;)

Stop indulging this troll. He's a complete fruit loop. This is genuinely the weirdest thread on this forum and that is taking something

The only thing weird is English people not coming to terms with something that occurred decades ago, and there is nothing fruity about me - I am bang on the money when I say that all the people slagging me are snow flakes - you know what a snow flake is right? i.e. someone born before Maradona's time

Sometimes people cant suck it up

Assuming you mean born after Maradona's time but whatever. That's also not what a snowflake is anyway but heyho.

My issue is not with Maradona being one of it not the best footballers ever. That's clear. I just find it weird that you call people snowflakes and then lie about Maradona's achievements, especially with regards to Messi. That is classic snowflake behaviour. Just 2 examples of this:

"Maradona had eclipsed Messi's achievements for Argentina when he was 18 years old" - They literally both won the same tournament with Argentina at the same point in their careers. Messi won player of the tournament as did Maradona and they both scored 6 goals so pretty similar. Messi actually won player of the tournament which Maradona didn't.

"and never got near to appearing in 4 successive world cups" - Messi has appeared in 4 successive World Cups and will (injury permitting) appear in his 5th in 2022.

This is why I said you are a fruit loop or a troll. Easily proven facts that negate your points. So you are either incapable of understanding them or actively choosing to pretend they don't exist.

All the while you go on about bitter Brits when I don't think many on here give a toss about 1986, you seem to be the one constantly bringing it up. And I assume some of those Brits (i.e. Welsh, Scottish, Northern Irish - you know what they are right?) find it pretty hilarious and love Maradona even more for it.

Exactly, this fool has been consistently wrong with every post he's made. 'Facts' about his hero are all over the place, lies about JFK going to Red Square etc. Then he resorts to pathetic insults when he's called out on his nonsense. Very strange individual. And such a top blue he's off to support another team because Sigurdsson had some game time against Burnley lol

'A documentary from the National Geographic, how about take it up with them' - no need to, you're wrong. Here's a concise biography of JFK, no mention of his supposed trip to Moscow (because it didn't happen, you poor, deluded simpleton) https://www.britannica.com/biography/John-F-Kennedy

'You are not particularly banging on about drugs and the hand of god' - thanks for admitting you were wrong about that (though you could have gone further and admitted I haven't once mentioned the hand of god or cocaine)

'the fact you are British is testimony to that' - once again, I'm not a Brit, I'm Australian, but clearly comprehension is not your strong point.

'various forums' - yep, we all know what sort of weird angry right wing forums you frequent, looking for friends.

'The rest of us will focus on the footie
;)
' - judging from the derision your posts have attracted in this thread, it seems clear that you'll focussing on the footie entirely alone, in your bedsit, in a very damp single bed.

Honestly, I think this would apply to both of them.

Who is this guy mentioning Nazi's, JFK and some Pope. Like wtf

Hello mate, are you referring to me? I mention JFK and the Pope because toffeepie1878 keeps claiming that they both visited Red Square*, just like Maradona did when he played for Napoli, which is palpably not true. It's indicative of his inability to grasp reality that he can't admit he was wrong about it. His 'evidence' so far is a screenshot from a documentary about Maradona with the three names in the same subtitle (but without context). As for Nazis, can't help you, don't think anyone has been talking about them in this thread? Anyway, hope this helps ;)

'he was the only footballer ever to set foot inside the red square in Moscow past the guards (along with president Kennedy and the Pope)'

Brief highlights of Diego turning it on against Scotland and taking the michael out of own Georgie Wood for the 3rd goal.

Another favourite of mine, Rene Houseman, was playing in this game. Anyone remember him?
