It may be 5 years once spades are in the ground but it'll take at least a year if not more to build the new freight terminal elsewhere so that they can remove the one at old Trafford to make room.
I suspect it'll cost a lot more than £2bn too, BMD at 53k was £800m and Spurs was around £1.2bn at 63k. Cost of labour and materials has only gone up since then and the cost goes up exponentially as the stadium gets bigger, I recall Meis saying seats on the top rows of BMD cost 6x that of the bottom rows. The Nou Camp renovation is also costing around £1.2bn and that's with cheaper labour/materials in Spain.

Moyes’ record at Man United stands up ok-ish compared to those who followed. But expectations were enormous given he inherited the champions of England and had highly successful players - even though they were mostly in decline. It was a hospital pass that he accepted but the following decade has demonstrated how unmanageable the club has become.
