I don't buy this stuff. Man Utd have won a lot of trophies under the Glazers when Fergie was in charge especially. Now their fans are unhappy because they're not winning cups and City and Liverpool are.

Football is about big teams at the top and other teams aspiring to be one of the top teams. It was ever thus. Rich men acquire big teams. Get over it.

They've been anti Glazers for years since they floated them on the stock market. Protests in 2005, set up a new club (FC United of Manchester). Wear green and gold etc.

The majority of fans don't like the debt they've put them in, the dividends, the millions they're making. Having success on the pitch is gonna disguise the need to burn torches on the streets. Peaceful protests, lobbying over years, being a little bit of a irritant to be ignored.

This super league was just the last straw for all of those 6 clubs. The fact that the fans have come out on mass for something that would make them financial powerhouses, and prove that they have a voice, can disrupt the sport, and pull the plug on it is an amazing thing.
