They actually don’t have a very good team. Not top 4 material anyway.

Think they were spoiled too much under Fergie. Formation of the PL, Sky’s money, the class of 92, the likes of us and our RS neighbours falling away after the eighties… it was a perfect storm for an all time great manager to create a dynasty. But what he did was almost too good to be true.

And now you have the likes of Neville saying guff like “Conte isn’t the right fit for United” because he still clings on to the story of Fergie and thinks they need a project manager signing youngsters from the Dutch league. They won’t be catching City for decades with their current strategy.

The other baffling thing is getting rid of Ole for Ragnick who for 6 months was there to analyse the squad, move upstairs, and become a technical director....

He then took another job at the end of the season and left leaving no plan, no strategy, no list of transfers.

surely that was a case of him doing his job - examining the squad, reported on what needed fixing and them not liking what he said
