No chance mate. We were gifted that Walker sending off at 1-0 and that should have settled us down to go and handsomely win that.

I suppose it's times like this when you see whether we really are in the big time or not.

On that piss poor second half no show we most definitely answered that question.

Dave, one of the finest Everton sides with probably the best Everton Manager got beat by a Manchester team in an FA Cup final by 10 men. Sometimes going down to 10 brings something extra from a team.......

Not ecstatic. Definitely not ecstatic. I'm frustrated. But I'm not going mental about it. They are an exceptional side, huge amount of quality. We were one very very poor defensive header from a win. Small margins. But obviously we need to improve.

No, no, no....

They are NOT an exceptional side FFS.

Their defence is woeful.

They were there on a plate and we didn't put it to bed.

Sorry. That is the plain fact of the matter.

Davies has been shocking this season. One of the midfield spots is up for grabs, but I'm convinced that Rooney will eventually drop back. Could understand RKs subs, but give city credit, they upped their game and they have great attacking players.RKs idea was to get Klaassen into the box at pace but the player was occupied too much defending.DCL our man of the match, Rooney again a great display of intelligent football.

No team handsomely win there!! If they do it's very very rare

...the top sides would pick off a 10 men City side who were totally committed to attack. That has to be our aspiration. I think it was positive to go with a back four but we needed to break in numbers and with tempo to exploit City's situation. Until we create against the top sides we won't challenge the top four.
The idea was right; the execution was not. We still kept wellying it long instead of trying to keep it. Klaassen and others have it away too cheaply if they got it. City's defence and midfield are bloomin good tbf

Until we make more signings - no way can we compete with the top 4!
Not quite, agreed.

It's going to take some time for these guys to get used to each other and for a few, get fit.

That being said, you get a target option and a CB that's a bit better in space that can cover for Baines, we aren't going to be fun for others to play against. That's for darn sure.
