that's like NFL contracts. there's total value of contract, and the guaranteed amount. the team can bail at any time on the player and only owe the guaranteed amount

Still must be the only job you can get sacked for underperforming and not hitting targets and still get paid off, the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. If I would have got sacked for being poor I'd have been given a P45 and my outstanding holiday pay end of.

It's not just stick or twist. Who we end up with would still be a gamble imo, and we're not on a winning streak.
Of course we could adopt the addicts rational that a winners just around the corner, just one more punt.

Really funny because, if you don't think any manager would come for the right numeration package, you are sadly mistaken. The problem won't be getting a top manager, the problem is not having the balls to approach them in the first place. If he says no, we get someone else. but we should be trying if our ambition is real.
