And we're Everton, if it's an even remotely big game we tend do crap ourselves( :bye:Liverpool). You know it, they know it, everyone and their dog knows it.

I'd like to be optimistic, but it's Man United, so I'm setting my expectations to an absolute minimum in order to avoid disappointment.

What about City 4-0?

I know we tend to bottle it in the 'big' games (on paper) but I've said it before and stand by it - there's no easy game in this league.

Our away form has been the real let-down this season and I think Koeman is slightly guilty of trying to play too much with the oppo in mind, rather than just setting us out to play our own game.

I don't expect us to win tonight, but I do think we're good enough to go and get a result...

What about one of the 8-10 "hard"(er?) games? Not that arsed like, unless we do well in all of them. I don't mean win, we'll lose a few games, it's only human, but I mean at least turn up, not get rolled over, that kind of thing.

We don't get rolled over though.

We're the harshest (as most fans are) on our own side, but when you ask opposition fans they usually always think they've been in a really tough game.

Spurs is a recent example. Even though we were poor, we ended up pressing them pretty close. Liverpool - even though their fans would never admit it - we had as many efforts as them and it could easily have gone a different way (again, without playing well).

The only game we've been 'rolled over' in this season was Chelsea away. That was unacceptable and won't happen again.

But this whole 'Everton are a laughing stock' thing that some fans go on about needs to stop.

We ain't.

The fact is nobody cares enough about another club other than their own to give two craps.

Anyway, let's see what happens.

Hopefully, we go out with a bit more, belief, perhaps, tonight than we showed on Saturday. Or, maybe more accurately, a bit more quality when it counts.

Win this and it's 3 points from the two matches. 1 more than we would have got from the two draws that many of us would have accepted.

Big chance for the players to redeem themselves

I think that's the best we can put out.
Maybe kenny for holgate (as kenny is a fkin full back that we have been training him for half of his life and he has represented England at every level so there must be something about him)

*kenny rant over.

Kenny right back, Holgate to replace Jags in the centre

It's only inevitable people feel that way considering what's gone on at Anfield for 17 years.

I agree we're no pushovers but difficult to see us getting something from tonight's game. We need our defence to be at it and I'm not sure they're capable of that.

Cheer up buddy :)

I agree.

It's a sinking acceptance (which is wrong) when we inevitably lose a derby.

We all want that to change.

Do we know when the Line-ups will be made public ? I'm more anxious about seeing our set-up than the actual game

Not saying we're a laughing stock mate, we're just bottlers. I was hoping Koeman would change that, but alas, slow process (albeit progress is being made, which I'm happy to see).

I'd love to be positive but for any game other than the 'big' ones, but as of right now it's positivity down the drain. Rather tone it down and hope we don't get another 7 injuries, because "Everton, that".
