Ref was crap yeah but even with a decent ref we'd have lost that.

Too many players not turning their A game on, and against a team that good you really need your whole 11 playing at their best.

Nothing bad about losing to City. And for me, still a really good start to the season.

We'll rip Hull a new one.

Can someone please start a few threads along the lines of "IS DIS DER END" "WE ARE WORST DAN WIGAN" "MARTINEZ IS PYAR CRAP LID"

I feel I should point out I wasnt having a pop at Martinez.

We lost cos we wasnt good enough on the day, money spent has nothing to do with it, thats the main focus of my point, I was in no way having a pop, in case people feel I was.
Nah I know what you meant, wasn't having a pop at you, like. Just pointed out the main differences, really.

Agreed, again.

If you take out Osman and put in Barry I think we would have been a lot better.

And also even though we were shocking lets not get too carried away, it's only 1 game against a very good team at a place where they very rarely lose.

"That is not a penalty, Lukaku isn't going for the ball" - David James.

What's the going for then, a pint?

Jeeesus.

this is really true. Too many players not turning up. against lower teams(no offense to them) you can afford one or two players having a bad day. Against a team that cost in the neighborhood of half a BILLION dollars, you need every single player on point.

That's nothing to do with every one of his touches going 10 yards in the air, though. Or his back pass of a shot.

Yeah I know, I did say that he hasn't shown anything but touch is something that can improve with more time spent on the pitch. I'm know I'm in the minority but I'm still reserving judgement.

Have to come out after the international break and batter hull. Always have a feeling we'd lose this game. It's about learning from it and improving.

We lost against a team that cost £600m to build in the last 5/6 years.

We had a go and didn't sit back, the game was always going to be who scored more and City did. We didn't go into our shell, we stood up and tried to match them. But lets not kid ourselves, there bench probably cost more than our team.

Martinez is never going to sit back, he wants the team to play his way and its refreshing. The only thing that i am annoyed abut today is the ref and city fans; i just hate the bad meffs
