Makes for an interesting derby

I also think we should show our solidarity (jf96) in derby game and act classy.

lets show our best behaviour and we are truly boss. lets show to the world.

i think we've showed time and time again how classy we have been on the whole subject.

this is about everton vs liverpool though, show them no love. The amount of times their classless bell-end fans have treated us like a **** stain when we've done nothing wrong as well as cheating us out of many derby games means they don't deserve our class. I'm sure the families know and respect our class on the matter and that's all that counts really

Walker lost every derby he played, which admittedly was only the one.

Bingham played 6, drew 3 and lost 3. Harvey played 9, won 1, drew 2, lost 6. Both you'd have to say were worst records.

Everton Managers by derby win and lost %

Royle: 5 games, won 20%, lost 0% = +20%
Catterick: 25 games, won 32%, lost 40% = -8%
Lee: 12 games, won 17%, lost 34% = -17%
Kendall: 31 games, won 25%, lost 45% = -20%
Britton: 7 games, won 28%, lost 57% = -29%
Smith: 8 games, won 12.5%, lost 50% = -37.5%
Moyes: 24 games, won 17%, lost 56% = -39%
Bingham: 6 games, won 0%, lost 50% = -50%
Harvey: 9 games, won 11%, lost 67% = -56%
Walker: 1 game, won 0%, lost 100% = -100%

Those stats are pretty grim but I just ran a check on derby results and Liverpool didn't catch Everton until the first match in 1981/2. That made it 49 wins each and they had never led before then. There had been 41 draws.

I'd been surprised by the figures because I knew Everton were ahead for a long time but, of course, you were talking about
the most recent manager's records.

Look, we're better than them and if Moyes sends them out to win the match, and not friggin' save it, as he usually does, we
might do alright.

Worst Merseyside Derby record of any manager in history. How anyone expects that trend to be bucked at Anfield is beyond me. He's never had the stomach for the fixture.

i dont even know what this means

do you think he sends the players out any differently if we are playing away at City or Spurs ?

I do. I think he see's us having no right to beat them and transmits it. I don't think he feels that way about either of them two.

i think that is nonsense - despite going 2 down against them this season (with their only 2 shots) we were battering them until Mirallas was crocked meaning we were without 3/4 of our usual midfield. Even then we had good chances to win.

Where i do agree is the fact that, especially at Anfield, Gerrard plays like a man possessed. However I would be disappointed if we only raised our game for a Derby - the players should give 100% all the time
