Best team weve had in the premier league?
Correct.

Some of our best individuals yes. Team? No. The camaraderie of the 2008/09 squad was a big deal and they'd push last season's Martinez side, even if they weren't as accomplished on the ball.

Cup winning team or following qith kancho, plus the speed team...all would have hammered this lot.

We have half a team of individuals. Young ones at that

Kone, Ovedeo or Garbutt and Coleman will put in transfer request. I agree with the mail. The only thing is if Marteniz is still in charge who in there right mind would want to play for Everton.

Personally I will get rid of Hibbert, Kone, Distin, Atsu, Alcaraz this summer.

We won't clear all deadwoods in one go.

Then, the next group of players who will leave (2016 summer) are McGeady, Barry, Pienaar, Howard (if he fails to get back to form).

I will keep Ossie. He is still a good squad player for the time being. I don't rate Robles. If he is 2nd or 3rd choice I won't complain. First choice keeper no ta. If I have a choice, I will keep Mirallas.

This is why I'd sell Baines we need funds to improve our squad overall and sometimes tough decisions have to be made. Howard we might get 5 million off the MLS and Mirallas maybe 10 million as he only has a year left so teams won't be held to ransom.

How many times have we mention this? Everton have the option to extend Mirallas's contract for another year. He has two years left and he will not sold cheaply.

There's no need to point out the blindingly obvious good work being done last season at the time; this season it needs pointing out because it's been conveniently forgotten by the fickle.

Nothing sinister in that really is there?

So it's gone from a "miracle" to simply good work now.

Not that getting 9 points more than the previous season where Stevie Wonder could see a more positive approach would achieve that is a miracle whatsoever anyway.

Unless overstating last seasons achievment now helps some kind of agenda that is.

*sigh*

Getting above Moyes record points total in your first season was a big achievement...didn't just better it either, blazed right past it.

Look, you can take it or leave it: I didnt go overboard about Martinez's first season when it happened, and I'm not going overboard about the decline this season...I'm trying to both criticise his faults this season and support his tenure as manager for the coming season.

It's really that simple.

The author of the piece is an Evertonian.

An Evertonian long before writing the Mail.

It's good to see genuine Blues in the media.

It's not a journo just trawling here and recycling comments.

Lets learn the facts before attacking someone, eh?...

Daily fail stating the obvious. Copy and pasted from the Everton fora by the looks of it. Add Kone and Atsu to that list as well. Maybe keeping Lennon if Mirallas stays and we'll add another winger on top
