Haha, No way inflation was not that high, good try Dave but no cup for you.
it certainly is. Look at prices for your stock standard average player now as opposed to then. Comfortably doubled if not more.
Result of more money being pumped into the game from those tv deals

Now you are trying to tell me that 11 mill could easily equate to 28 mill?? okay you work it out using the annual CPI and show me!

Football doesn't work according to CPI. It works according to the money that football clubs have to spend.
Take the difference between the 2011-2012 season and the 2012-13 season in average transfer fee. Works out at about a 33% increase from 4.2million to 5.6million.
This has only increased again with the new tv money, money which saw players like Abel Hernandez and Shane Long move for 10million and 12 million respectively.

Bony is probably the equivalent to the Yak in today's premier league. He went for 28million

Howard
Robles (Griffiths on bench)
Hibbert
Oviedo (who I like but were overloaded)
Alcaraz
Distin
Barry
Gibson (while hes fit enough to sell)
Pienaar
McGeady
Kone

Adios.

"BEST EVERTON SQUAD IN THE PREM" lol

Hardly. Big target man that scores goals, and at a similar age to Yakubu when he moved here.
Name me another target man who is at that age and scores goals the way those two did and have at that respective stage of their careers you muppet.
