If VDM couldn't even make the bench for this match, assuming he's 100% fit and healthy, then he's done.

Too bad too as I really wanted to see him come good.

Sorry...looks like Jags at RB with Neville in the middle of the park.

This I do not like - Cars and Nev in centre mid is not enough creativity, and we risk being dragged down to Luton's level (no insult intended) - I wish Grave was starting instead of one of them.

But resting Cahill, Arteta and Yak for Staurday makes sense.

My heart sank when I seen that centre midfield.

Mine as well.. can't imagine why Moyes continues to play with 2 defensive midfielders all the time. :(

Still think we'll manage to push through though... our first 11 in this game should be much better than Lutons.

I would have kept faith with the 4-5-1 and started a stronger side. Birmingham wont be the toughest test on Saturday, on paper anyway.

True about Birmingham.. but they'll most likely be a tougher test than Luton, so I agree that resting Cahill, Arteta and Yak is a good idea... but I'd love to have seen Gravesen on the pitch instead of Cars or Jags in the central midfield. Now we don't have any kind of playmaker on the pitch and two on the bench.

it looks like we are going for the "weather the storm" approch to start with. but with the bench that strong(which it has to be to hold the yak!) we will be alot more attack minded in the secound half cuz grav and vaughan should get atleast half an hour or at best the whole 2nd half!
