I do think the trend is against wing backs now and more in favour of flatter back fours. Garbutt has nothing to offer if that's the case. Maybe he could try further up the pitch and adapt to life as a wide player. He has delivery for sure.

Always wanted Martinez to try him left midfield. Especially when he used to play Kone/Naismith there.

Was very shakey as a defender. I remember he had an absolute stinker when Sunderland won 2-0 at Goodison the other year.

Yeah never rated him either.
Remember when he put together those 3 or 4 games and everyone said he should replace Baines full-time?

Cheers mate, good to be back. Yup, we had this young fella pegged early, despite the knee-jerk calls for him to be made captain. We're right all the time, can't remember a time when we were wrong. Never once have we taken up arms on the wrong side of an argument. Not one time.
