you have to wonder what Bill has done to finance this deal - didnt think there was anything left to sell off at the club???
 


Well over-priced for where he's at in his development and potential. I just don't see him as ever being worth £28 million.

Even at the rumoured £24 million, I was umming & arring. Got to trust Mr Martinez, I suppose.....

Yes, i don't see the problem. Football money will continue inflating and Rom's value will go the same way. He has the potential to be worth at least £50m easily soon.

Also, consider our resources! The majority of our starting XI would, in today's market, be able to sell for close to or way over £10m.
 
Considering he is the third highest PL league scorer in the last 2 years and is only 21, £28 million is bang on.

Let's assume we get 10 years out of him, that's £2.8 million a year.

I'm well happy.
 

the 28m has to be taken in the context of can we make any more major signings between now and next summer as a result. if the answer to that question is no, then its a risky move tbh.
