Lukaku - A Fond Farewell

I've slated Rom a lot.I don't like his attitude and he does have his flaws as a player.Still though he was our best and most consistent goal scorer since the mid 80's and his goals kept us above water in Martinez's last two seasons.Good luck at United Rom except for when you play us of course.;)

On Sky Sports Lukaku says he is going to a club with the greatest supporters in the World, I would've thought he had to have
played for them first.

Something's telling me we'll miss the 25 goals, but I also think we will start a shift in playing style towards a classic Cruyff.

At least, we got a new goalkeeper, and upgrated the defence. That should also compensate.
I think you are right, that Koeman has an overall plan, and a shift in style may acure.

I think Pablo Brown in the red echo comments section has articulated very well why Evertonians never really took to Lukaku.Despite the many goals he scored for us.

It's mad, he's been our best striker since the prem started yet we don't like him, and this ain't sour grapes. I'd take a young (fit) Ferguson or Cahill over Rom,and that's the truth. I bet Chelsea fans are feeling the same way about Costa. There's only so much disrespect you can take from someone before you go off them. He may have been a limited player but I had far more affection for Naismith than Rom, I'd go as far as to say I liked Stracqualursi more than Rom. Denis may have been a big lump but at least he tried. Landon Donovan was shown more love in the few months he was here than Rom was in 4 years.
