Lukaku - A Fond Farewell

Still a superb team and he didn't look out of his depth in any shape or form.
If, when you watch how he receives the ball and moves with it, you genuinely feel as though you're watching a world-class footballer, then good luck to you.

I firmly believe that Mourinho will turn on him after a few difficult games where the team can't get because nothing is sticking up front.

Once the moves were materialising by the club (Arteta to keep us afloat & Fellaini to fund lukaku, barry & mccarthy). The club told asked them to put in a transfer request to waive there loyalty bonus

Arteta literally cried in the chairman's office because he wanted to leave. How is that not pushing for a move?

He doesn't play for us anymore lads, let it go.

He was a weapon before he signed for us, when he played for us, and he will be one for whoever he plays for in the future.

The outlook will improve now that the fixtures he never affected anyway have passed.

I doubt I'll pine for any of the heroes of back to back bottom-half finishes, or 7th place trophy winners.
Gonna need you to come clean my man C and be solemn about posting repeatedly about Lukaku being not all that. It pains me to do this but I’m investing in your future here.

I still think his poor first touch will cost him a serious injury one day, not that I wish it on him but he has it written all over him.
Fantastic finisher but can he keep it up for the whole season, dries up near the end when United will need him most.

I think part of reason we are still talking about him is because we didn't get anyone to replace him and are now left with 3 strikers - DCL, niasse, sandro - all of whom are currently at the level of championship league only. (hopefully all of them improve ASAP!)
