Yes he was a prick, but he scored shedloads. I'd have him back in a heartbeat. Sadly, this is just a puff piece and nothing is going to come from it.

Loving those moaning about Lukaku or Barkley ‘I wouldn’t have the scumbag back under any circumstances after he disrespected the club, blah blah blah’. Well it’s not up to you, Carlo will decide. If he did bring either back, what are you going to do, sit in the corner and cry?
To be fair I think most of us wouldn't take Barkley back under any circumstances not because he disrespected the club but because he's a terrible player of the game of togger

I admired his honesty he never shied away from the fact he was ambitious and in that regard always expected him to leave plus I don't recall him really ripping into us as a club.and reckon he would have stayed if we had a team to match his ambition.

Don't know if true but wasn't it reported he said we should be aiming for the title not just top 4 during Bobby's storming first season and Jagielka started laughing - can you imagine what he thought.

Nice to hear his appreciation of the club and fans tbh

I owe so much to an ex employer from many years agos doing block paving. He gave me a good work ethic and made me appreciate where I am now looking back.

Having said that, he was a horrible s*** and paid me the mimimum wage and even kept the beer we used to get given over Xmas.

I definately wouldn't go back.

After the disaster show at United I’m sure it put things into perspective for him. The grass isn’t always greener.
They jumped on him at every mistake and every opportunity doubtless his mind contrasted such disrespect with the roaring heroic welcome Goodison gave him even as news broke of his likely move. The comparison of real football fans reaction and a gang of glory hunting tourists must have seeped into his psyche such things move a man's soul when hindsight plays across the mind

Imagine not wanting him back. It's not about him being a bellend or being a bit fat it's that good strikers are very hard to come by these days especially at teams trying to build. You just can't turn your nose up at a proven goalscorer whatever the cost, and most of us didn't know how lucky we were to have him
