Can't believe we've sank so low to start gagging for Man United cast offs. I would rather not spend anything than go there or Arsenal, have we not learnt anything, this is just starting to feel like desperation.

I don't think we are that at all.

I do think we've spent far too much money in the last five years and as well as the P&S rules hitting us, we also just don't have that much left.

Nah, this winds me up after I got told I should stop watching football or didn't like the club because I said that Bernard wasn't good back then and now after multiple years evidence to the contrary they still hold on to there misconceived view.

And on top of that they make ridiculous watch the game not the numbers comments as if people who like the sport enough to read a page of numbers aren't actually interested in watching the games. I don't mean that in an "I'm a better fan than you" way, but rather to point out that most the time people are doing both.

So sorry about the rant but it's just brought up multiple old annoyances at once.

Let's get Diaz done because it's going to be really fun if we do.

Quality doesn’t necessarily translate to a pitch. Townsend is limited but chases and causes issues and actually can produce when required.

Some of the stick he’s had when he’s been nothing short of excellent, considering, is madness for me.

Don't get me wrong I like Townsend but that's not the same as him playing well or showing quality. Basically he hasn't yet produced when required. I know he's got an assist but let's be honest that was flukey. At some point we need more from him because Gray isn't going to score tight angle weak footers weekly and we won't have a penalty weekly.

Lukaku - 2017

Was also counting Stones but obviously Rom was our best player in 2016. Stones a big talent though.

I don't think we're skint in how we used to be. But what little money we do have left - with the rest getting funnelled into the stadium - can't be spent due to FFP without shifting players out, and shifting those players out will also help go towards the budget. Or it would, if our DoF was capable of getting fees for them.
