He's better than he showed today.

He's had some injuries and lacked fitness and sharpness so can't really expect him to be on top form.

That said, he needs to step it up. Genuinely would start giving Gibson a go.

Evertonisation is now complete with this one. He's firmly at the level we expect now with next to no quality left and just looks as idiotic as the rest of them.

He's still probably the only one any another club in the league would want though.

This clown doesn’t deserve to get off with it because he was good last season. He’s been crap for a while now. No wonder the big clubs didn’t stick with him

Not really sure of the abuse for Lucas here.

Defence did their job for the most part and it took a worldie to beat Pickford. He had absolutely nothing in the middle for him to go off, nothing down the line. What did people expect from him today? We have no quality in the middle of the pitch, he can't get forward as much because we don't have the quality to get him the ball in dangerous areas.

Ball goes back to defender, who either has no options on and has to punt, or plays it into midfield who just come back again until we punt or lose possession.
Ball goes down the line, who doesn't control it, gets fouled or flops to the floor, lost possesion.
Ball goes into striker, who can't control the ball and its lost possesion.

I am not saying he's been great but he's far from any problem in this team.

The defence looked shaky all game, against a very poor (on paper) attack. He also offered nothing going forward. He’s been poor all season, it’s getting to the concerning stage now.

He's furthest down the list, of a long list of players we need to replace - which basically includes every player at the club.

Did they though? Barring Origi's half-chance which was well saved by Pickford, they did their jobs. The goal what more can they do? Literally the only way he was scoring was if the ball looped up and over.

Him not being strong attacking at the moment is a fair critique but look at what is around him. DCL can't control a football, the midfield do not want the football.

He isn't beyond criticism but some of the claims made in this thread are baffling.

They did yeah, they had about 15 corners because they kept getting in behind and making us make last ditch blocks and clearances. If you’re defending well that doesn’t happen.
