He's far, far better than what he's shown this season. He's a very good left back, capable of starting in a top 4 side, no problem.

I'm glad the whole "better than peak Baines" idea has been laid to rest now though as that was a bit mental.

Certainly is but if Digne is far superior if he shows the level he did last season.

It’s all If’s, but’s and maybe’s isn’t it.

If Chilwell kicks on, he’s only 23 now, then he’s got a far higher ceiling than Digne.

If Digne can learn to defend, he could be considered one of the best LB’s in the league but he’s been nowhere near that level this season.

Still not a patch on Baines at his best, for me.

So if he improves he can be considered good?

You love Leicester you dont you.

Watch what happens when Vardy falls off a cliff talent-wise.

Mate if you watched Robertson every week, there’s no way in a million years you’d have anyone tell you digne was better than him. Every neutral in the premier league would side with Robertson. 100 out of 100. In fact, everyone bar evertonians would have chilwell ahead of him. We just get caught up in it so easily. I was gutted we didn’t go for robertson my mates a hull fan and told me how good he was. He was a steal. How do dignes poor performances this season not change that statement? Bizarre quote.
What’s bizarre about it? I’m saying that when Digne was playing well it wasn’t outrageous to say he was better than Robertson. I’m not saying he was, simply that it wasn’t a ridiculous notion. His performances this season are irrelevant to a discussion about his form last season, obviously.

What is bizarre is that somebody who watches Robertson every week is posting on an Everton forum.

oh look, no Chilwell or Robertson.

I think I´m right in saying the last 18 months is probably the most football he´s played in quite a while. That could be taking its toll. I think from what we´ve seen he´s a good full back, not at the levels Baines reached for us but definitely not a priority in terms of replacing. Hopefully he can regain his form over the coming months. Important time for him.

Are you saying you´d rather have Digne over Robertson? Pienaar would never have appeared on these stats but he was an important player for us.

Theres not a Left Back in world football I would take over Digne.

Personally im just counting down the days till somebody snaps Robertsons jaw.

I would defo take Trent the preggo basher tho.

At least we agree on Robertson. Always some achievement when you become the most hated Liverpool player, that lad has done it with ease over the past 12 months. I actually enjoy tuning in to watch Scotland get beat because it´s one of the only times I get to see him looking miserable.

No, he’s good already. Digne is a >good< left back. Nothing more, nothing less. To be amongst the very best, the Robertson’s, Alaba’s, Sandro’s of the world - he’ll need to find a consistency and a way to improve his defensive game.

That Buendia is mad yenno. Proper stat merchant but don't think I've ever seen him actually play.
