He's been off the pace last couple of games but has played really well up until then. The games rest will do him good hopefully he'll come back firing on all cylinders. His tackle/foul stopped an almost certain equaliser. I remember many years ago Solskjaer getting a standing ovation off the Manure fans for doing the same in a title run in. Shows they put team before themself.

In the box would have been a yellow and a pen. Pickford May have saved the pen and having 11 men may have led us to score more goals. As it is, it paid off but they could have scored the freekick and had it been a better team, would have punished us later in the game.

As it is, he is a hero.

I agree it came about from his own error but some players would have let the player thru and score. He needed the rest unfortunately it means Kenny will be left back in next game which isn't great but if he sticks to the basics he should do ok.

No getting away from the fact that he played a massive role in us getting dumped out the cup though. Always suspect defensively for me which is a worry.

It should be noted before people get all defensive that he says this about himself. He is an attacking back who is still learning the defending part of his game.

I like him. There will be hairy moments though. The cup was a wake up call for him. Lessons must be learned.

I wouldn’t go as far as using the word hero but he certainly assisted us in gaining three valuable points.

We are playing for the Europa now & attempting to stop Big Red achieve the unthinkable by us actually winning a derby.

This. People saying he took one for the team, and won us 3 points. Imo he nearly single handedly cost us 2 or all 3 points, and I don't think he meant to foul the player in the way he did. He was lucky that the rest of the team saved the points, not vice versa.
