Is he an upgrade on Baines in his current form? YES

Is he younger than Baines? YES, by 8 years.

Will he improve our back 4? YES

Will we finally have competion for our left back position instead of Martina? YES

At the rumored amount of sub £20m is he good value? YES

Is he proven in multiple leagues / countries with champions league experience? YES

He was good enough for none of them mate which is why they are shifting him to Everton? but I’m not questioning him I’m saying as long as he’s average it’s an upgrade.

There is only room for one big nose in this club now Richarlinson has arrived so it looks like Leighton will be following Robles out the exit door id imagine.

...Baines has been a little maestro of a footballer as far as i’m concerned. I like watching good footballers and his partnership with Pienaar was tremendous.

But time catches up, injuries happen with more regularity and it’s time to move on. Ironically, what I see of Digne he looks similar to Baines in that he is very comfortable on the ball and makes those little deft angled passes.

Change is needed but Baines should be applauded in my opinion.

he had 1 season at roma and played over 40 games for them, he was most definitely good enough for them

barcalona have jordi alba at left back, arguable one of the best 3 left backs in the world,

He started/came on in like 20 first team games there last season, played the majority of the Copa del Rey so I’d say he’s good enough like.

Barca’s bench would do us dirty all over the park tbh. Not even an 11 man team, just their 7 bench players against our first XI.

So its clear he's on his way out, but there hasn't been any spotting of him going for a medical. It seems odd to confirm he's leaving before the deal is done. Smells of Barca doing a Bordeaux and hoping for one last, bigger bid to come in.
 
Wonderful signing for the amount we are paying in this crazy market . I was worried man yoo may put a rival bid as they need a lb aswell . Just want this announced now :pint2:
