Had a look at a couple of YouTube clips I think one was a piss take as he just passed back all the time, second he looked look a very decent defender, strong tackler, mobile, good at touch tight, aggressive, decent size and physical. Didn’t look particularly a natural attacker, Knocked in a couple of crosses at pace that looked dangerous because of the pace rather placement. Strengths looks more in defense then going forward! YouTube though!

In Marcel we trust! We have a high bar when it comes to full backs!

I watched 1 youtube vid where he did nothing but attack, he was basically left wing the whole 3minute vid, it didnt even show defending.

I have never rated him massively in that he hasn't exactly lived up to the hype he got when he was younger, but he is a very solid player. Only 25. plenty of experience at three massive clubs and internationally. A good addition at what looks to be a decent price.

Seems to have good character in combination with big club pedigree of the highest level. Hopefully he'll be a strong addition to our left side, but also a positive presence in the group of players and in the dressing room. Welcome Lucas.

Can actually play football too and kick a ball near team mates. Similar to Baines in that regard but has legs remaining too.
