One of my mates at work had been seeing a girl for 5 years, they got engaged and bought a house together last year then she suddenly tells him she wants to apply for love Island. She dumped him just to be able to apply for the show. She's not one of the original contestants so I'm assuming she'll come in later but she only lasts a week. I've never seen the show but I'm guessing it's a bit like Big Brother and people get voted out. She's basically thrown away her relationship at an attempt at fame. Who knows if it'll work out for her.

Seriously, these shows are a danger to society, influencing people to cheat, chase any sort of fame and act unmorally. Not to mention already impacting mental health body image.

The 16-19 year olds watching this are going to be a disaster when they're older.

Don’t work hard at school kids. Get yourself all over social media pretending to be something you’re not. Doesn’t matter if you don’t know who you really are as long as the fake profile you build for yourself gets tons of likes. End goal is ending up on a show like this where they’ll hang you out to dry for good ratings. The social media which was once your friend will now be used to torment you until you go crazy. What a world we live in.
