Doesnt sound like a player who wants to jump ship! Seems very apprecitive and comtted:
LOUIS SAHA reckons he's letting Everton down despite scoring nearly HALF of the Toffees' 22 Premier League goals this season.
The French striker has netted ten times but his goals have not stopped David Moyes' men dropping into a relegation battle ahead of today's clash with Birmingham.
It is the kind of return he could have only dreamed of during his injury-jinxed spell at former club Manchester United.
Saha has put those dark days, which included a time when he felt like quitting football, behind him now.
But although he is playing a starring role for Everton he is still angry at himself for failing to hit top form.
He said: ``I feel like scoring is not enough. I feel I should be producing a bit more in the game and I'm still working on that to find form that will be helpful for the team.
``I do think I'm on the end of some good moves we do, but we are not doing enough good moves right now.
``We have a problem and we need to find a solution which starts from me, maybe. Because someone is scoring goals that doesn't necessarily mean they're playing well.''
Saha has also given his team-mates a kick up the backside over their role in Everton's poor campaign.
He said: ``I feel we are going to turn it around as we feel players are going to come back and maybe luck will be on our side. But I do think everyone can step up a bit.''
Despite Everton's dodgy form, the hitman is enjoying life at Goodison Park having revealed two months ago how he nearly quit the game
Saha came close to hanging up his boots as he continued to break down with aches and strains at United.
He added in Everton's matchday programme: "I had so many discussions with Sir Alex Ferguson, with my wife, my family and my friends.
"It was really, really tough and I was close to stopping. It was really hard to cope with the injustice of working hard for no reward.
"I'm an honest player, I don't cheat so I couldn't understand and I was looking for answers and couldn't find them.
"But in life you make choices and Everton came along and it revived my career. I'm happy and I'm glad I made that choice because it could have gone the other ways, but it has gone the best way."
