Cena

Player Valuation: £70m
I knew it was going to happen, but i thought some blues might of had less of a chip on their shoulder due to recent results - but obviously not.

I will state first of all we were garbage last night. It was a bad performance and it was a tie we should of won over two legs - that's all i've got to say about that.

But the way some blues on here turn on the team after a bad result is a joke! I'm not saying players and staff are not free from criticism, if you had sat with me watching the game last night you would of saw me dishing out a lot, but it really winds me up when i come on here after a match and see some truley negative crap from so-called blues.

We'd just beaten the United and Chelsea and some we're saying we could win the league next season. Some we're praising the young players and saying how good a squad we have and how great Moyes is 'must be the best manager' and how we are the best 'pound for pound team' Europe.

Fast-forward five days, Moyes is a liar apparently, we should boo our team and not get behind them, certain players who were world-class less than a wek ago are now garbage and need to be sold, i just don't understand.

Now this is not a 'i'm leaving the forum' thread, but after reading some absolute drivel about the team i love, from our own supporters on this forum i really am losing faith in people who consider themselves blues.
I am at Spurs on sunday in another sell-out away end, 3 days after a Euro away game, i will be shouting, clapping and supporting every boy in blue, certainly not booing, and i can't wait! Have a word with yourselves some of you and ask if your support is really worthwile or are you here to just praise us when were good and **** us off when we are bad with absolutly no inbetween or thought about anything else.

Rant Over

"I'm a better fan than you rant"?

Some fans were no doubt massively frustrated last night and in the heat of the aftermath, go a bit overboard. As you claim to have during the game. Why are you shouting a lot of profanities at them mate? You're calling Everton drivel? Bang on that lad, support them. See how easy that is?...

I think your title should read "I'm losing faith with Everton Supporters", rather than this forum. Read every other Everton forum and Facebook comments...

Freedom of speech. A lot of last night was sheer frustration

Kind of agree with both of you. Everyone's entitled to their opinions and you can't expect all members on this forum having the same view. Me personally agree a lot with your post Cena. We were bad, we were awful, 2nd best all over the show in a 2 horse race and we certainly didn't deserve anything from last nights game. Too completely **** of each and everyone connected to Everton Football Club is a bit far fetched in my opinion though. Whatever, yesterday is in the past now. Let bygones be bygones and concentrate on the immediate future. Bring on Spurs, I'm sure we'll be ready for them. COYB!!!

Edit: And agree with Danny, that it isn't strictly a GOT thing, but all fora are in meltdown over this.

So fans should have blue tinted glasses on throughout Cena?

Getting things off your chest regarding the team is what forums are all about.

Perhaps it might be better if fans bottled it up, and then after a few beers took it out on someone who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time?

2 lads I work with saved up hard to go to Portugal. Others work overtime every week to go to the match to watch guys earn in 90 minutes what it takes them 4 years to earn.

Please don't tell us we can't discuss the bad with the good, or discuss just how disappointed we are, because if that was the case, the forum really would be empty.

In a few days, normal support will no doubt be resumed.

It's nothing to do with being a better fan than anyone else, just some need to get a grip.

Yeh i did shout at the telly watching the game last night, isn't that what 99.9% of football fans do?

I'm not losing faith with Everton supporters at all, some 4 months ago when people were going on about selling Cahill on here, i was chatting to fellow blues in the boozer about this and they couldn't believe that people were actually considering that - it seems to be on here when we get knee-jerk reactions and ludicrous shouts about Everton. Just winds me up, yes have free-speech and opinion, but is it fair to ask for consistency rather than 'title challengers next season' to 'we are sunday league' 5 days later??

Agree with the latter to an extent, some do go overboard but sympathise with it and put it down to frustration...

Many a times I've claimed we're f-ing s--- etc, but do I need to get a grip? Probably, but not because of a one off outburst from frustration at a football team.

The same could be said for forums, instead of shouting at the telly, some shout at the computer...

I'm not losing faith with Everton supporters at all,

i really am losing faith in people who consider themselves blues.

call it a womens lib type thing, we were getting stuff off our chests, you also know that we like to spout [Poor language removed] and it's our coping mechanism.

we all went a bit daft last night, it doesn't mean that we don't care.

nash out ffs !!

i meant i am losing faith with people who consider themselves blues on here. As i said with the selling Cahill thing on here months ago, i spoke to a few blues i know around and at the pub who as i said thought it was a shocking idea, just seems these sort of ideas only come on on forums

Perhaps the title of the thread is misguided, i agree - The forum is excellent, well managed and maintained, just some of the stuff regarding Everton winds me up some times and that's why i get annoyed. Not a personal attack on the site so don't take it that way mate

I get the frustration in heat of the moment, outburst, understand that. But analysing it, bringing it forward and actually typing about it i don't get, sorry mate.

When i play footy if i screw a shot wide that i should of scored i get angry with myself in the moment. At the pub after i don't stay angry with myself and tell myself that because i missed a shot i should of scored i'm suddenly an awful footy player

I feel better already after discussing last night.
Isn't that what forums are about?

As for individual players, that will always be down to personal opinion.

Some love Cahill, some think he's over the hill, but all that matters is how he performs on the pitch.

Opinions do not qualify fans as blues. It's what they feel inside that counts, from the explosive joy to the stomach twisting frustrations.

There is no consistency, because football is not consistent.(y)

I just get wound up mate. Having my own little heat of the moment. As i say, it is not a personal attack on the forum, otherwise i doubt i'd keep posting, i just can't relate when people say we're that amazing and then in less than a week we are garbage

Normally because we are great one week, and crap the next.
Football is entertainment after all. What is essential to remember though is that it is only a game.

Sorry mate but i think you're talking rubbish for one reason. (But don't take it personally, there's been a few comments similar to yours lately, comments like "fickle Evertonians" spring to mind so i'm gonna have a mini rant too)

And thats cause you seem to think that because we all support Everton we should all have the same viewpoints and act in the same manner as each other.

Life doesn't work like that. Just because you wouldn't want to sell Cahill and some other Everton fans in a pub might not want to doesn't mean other Everton fans aren't allowed to want to sell him.

And getting up the arse about it just because they see things different to you and talking about "so called blues" is ridiculous.

And so what if one Everton fan say we're gonna win the league one week and Moyes is great, then another Everton fan says we're [Poor language removed] and Moyes is crap the next. Its two different people with differing opinions, pretty stupid to lump us all in the same bracket just cause we support the same football club.

We'd just beaten the United and Chelsea and some we're saying we could win the league next season. Some we're praising the young players and saying how good a squad we have and how great Moyes is 'must be the best manager' and how we are the best 'pound for pound team' Europe.

Said by the same people? Or by different people? If it is the same people so what? Its easy to ignore it really. Its mostly just kneejerking which everyone is guilty of really, not really worth getting upset about really.
