Besic seemed to become a recluse after his booking. Isn't doing the dramatics of suggesting a dive to a referee worthy of a yellow any more? How many times did they kick Pienaar? We looked a different side with Lukaku sprinting some terror at them. Thankful of the clean sheet. Had no idea Coleman was going to be a miss, cant remember Hibbert being found out. Did Barry get booked? Who was it that finally got a foot in on their right winger, because second half either he'd been reduced or his legs had fallen off. Gutted Geads didn't lift his only chance.

Us still top, it'll come down to Lille and Wolfsburg remaining game (vs each other), we'll need to stuff Krasnodar. 2 Goodison nights and a midweek away in the land of the lagers.

Onwards.
Thought that Besic done very well to play a controlled game after the booking, showed his maturity. He became increasingly influential in the second half as he started to drive with the ball into their half more.

He impressed me today, he's coming along nicely. Got some good elements similar to McCarthy, never a bad thing.

The most exciting part of my trip today was the Double Steakhouse I've just smashed from Burger King, at the tunnel! Give it til tomorrow and it'll probably make more runs, too...

Great result away from home. Puts us in fantastic position as we should only need 4 points from the last 3 games. 2 of which are at home!. Professional performance which could have been even better If we'd have picked the right pass out in the final third. Fully expect a comfortable win at Burnley on Sunday. One of them games I would have been worried about under Moyes but I think we will be fine on Sunday. Yes we have had a difficult start to the season but in most games we have performed quite well, every error has resulted in conceding a goal. The one thing that has gone our way is that all of our rivals (top four competitors) have dropped points where you wouldn't expect them to. We have only won 2 of our first 8 games yet we are still only 4 points off the top 4. In my opinion there are two champions league places up for grabs as Chelsea win win the Title with ease and City will finish 2nd. My glass is 3 quarters full!!!
