Why was the OP only interested in sharing tweets about the minor disturbances that occurred during the BLM protests in London yesterday, and completely swerved any mention of the massive peaceful protest?

I like what you've done there and I have probably been a bit patronising. But if you read my other posts I am fine with all minorities. All my posts have been about respecting and trying to elevate minorities. Your issue is that you clearly feel that striving for equality is an offence on your situation.

I don't know anything about you Zat, we are aquaintances on a football forum. Maybe we would get on in a real life situation. But my point, which I will bang on about, is that I understand and respect the fact that people don't have the privilege I have. And I would love for that balance to be redressed. I will listen to people and try to learn from it. I've been really interested by reading about your experiences in Asia as I have no experience of that. But your experiences in Asia don't mean that black people in the US and the UK don't have it harder

To be really honest about it all...

1: Theres a virus which will affect not only peaceful protestors but the police and others who they pass it onto...

I find it totally STUPID and IGNORANT and UNSAFE that these people are threatening others lives.

The cause is totally irrelevant with the virus...it could be any cause+ if we read the Everton Forum and see who supports full stadiums its minimal.

So i find it bizarre how people support protestors who are not considering others safety with the virus.

Its almost been forgotten !?!?!?!?!?

The whole worlds attention is now focused on BLM...who now is talking about COVID?

These distractions will cause enormous loss of life.


2: As for the actual protests and their meaning, perhaps im the ignorant one. I watch the videos, read the messages and i dont see any specific LAWS which they want implemented...

...ive only looked at a link to the BLM site once and saw they want the police DEFUNDED...thats pure stupidity in my opinion.

How does that make any sense at all?

Id like to see what LAWS they want changed which prevent them succeeding or impact their safety.

Just saying BLM and singing and protesting peacefully doesnt actually tell me what they want.

Is it just "be nicer to us" or is there a legal framework they want changed?

I dont know. Do you?


3: A lot of what is coming out with this WHITE PRIVILEGE (however you choose to define it) is totally bizarre. Its a case of comparing race rather than comparing social economic growth in under privileged neighbourhoods and towns...whether black or white.

Wheres their 'manifesto' to show the government what they want here?

Why is it focused solely on black people...how about native american indians or others?

I dont know...


4: If its a message about not being racially abused by other races (or just white / police which is all im seeing) then how do they want to affect that change?

Racists wont change unless educated and willing.

Why are the looted stores those who dont have signs with BLM on them?

Why are people saying they will pay bail for BLACK looters/rioters and not other races supporting them?

Why are there funds to help BLACK owned stores and nothing else?


5: To compare to Hong Kong (as you mention Asia)...

A: Black people arent being called cockroaches in the media on a mass level by police.

B: Black people arent seeing their daughters disappear and told they are dead the next day from suicide with no investigation because the police raped them + theyve been cremated without permission.

C: Black people arent seeing their own leaders sign deals to bring in secret police to kidnap and take them away.

D: Black people are allowed to vote for their leaders or appoint them in a democracy with freedom of speech. Not threatened with prison for negativity against their country.

And of course so much more. Its frustrating that HKers plight as well as Chinese incursions into India and the Pacific are being ignored now that that BLM seems to be the 'fashionable' cause...

Compare BLM with how the muslims are in China.

Where are the global protests?


6: Why is literally EVERYONE either focused on the protests, rioters, looters or the political parties or police?

How are people globally so focused on this cause?

What (in this moment in time) is more of an immediate problem...is it race issues and BLM or is it a virus murdering millions of people...or a nation invading countries and torturing minority groups on a mass scale


As for London...and UK i thought there were hiring and interview laws which meant that certain numbers of minorities had to be hired for equality?

Why are people attacking police...

There you go, I've just posted a bunch a peaceful protesters. We can both play this game of using Twitter as proof. Difference is I have the majority of peaceful people making a genuine point. You find the few "bad apples" to defend an indefensible point.

Why don't you want minorities to have the chance to redress the balance? What difference to your life will it make if black people have equal rights in the UK or US? Genuinely why don't you want it to happen?

Protests are completely fine and the cause is right. Our own police shouldn't be on the receiving end of any violence though and hopefully we dont see any of that. It's not justified.

I do worry about such a large crowd atm. Hopefully no issues with the virus.
