Not a very good one from the footage shown on the BBC. He stopped at the lights going up towards Victoria Street, did a u-turn to get up a bit of speed before crashing into barriers that are designed to stop vehicles ramming into them at the Cromwell Green entrance. So he slowed down, before ramming his car into a place where you have 'relatively' few people (certainly compared to the Westminster Bridge junction and up Whitehall) and a whole bunch of coppers.

Bit of a rubbish terrorist all things considered (and I say this in the sincere hope that anyone that was affected by his actions is not badly hurt)

We're quite fortunate in some sick sense that the guy that did it seems to be a bit thick.

Exactly. It's believed that he wasn't on any active SB, CTC or MI5 watch lists, yet that can mean a multitude of things and we'll not know for a few more days.

Unfortunately, for all the active investigations and monitoring techniques you may always have individuals who for valid reasons stay below the proverbial radar.

You are correct on both counts.

Islamo-fascists target the 'thick' into doing their dirty work.

No anti-terrorism strategy-legislation can be 100% effective.

Most intelligence work and prevention will go unnoticed and unreported.

We just have to accept that our country contains people who hate everything we stand for and want to kill us.

I think there’s more to this than just a terror attack. The guy is not stupid yet achieved nothing, apart from mowing down some cyclists, and let’s be honest we’ve all wanted to do that.
