Just when the Tories looked to be seriously on the ropes as well. People are already convinced Corbyn is a pacifist who wouldn't/doesn't know how to deal with terror threats, this will only give more naive folk the excuse to vote Conservative.

People are overly twitchy/concerned about national security will think "Oh, another attack on Theresa May's watch. I will have to vote Ukip".
