So me and my Dad both go to every game from our L37 postcode but that doesn't count as local? Despite the fact my Dad was born and raised pretty much next door to Goodison. But apparently he's not local anymore.

Exactly, pretty flawed logic, i'm L31 and it's a piece of piss to get to Goodison.

Try harder next time, survey people.

I'd imagine it was based on the entire L, not just the L4 postcode.

Crap survey IMO. Can't believe that 24% for a second myself. Or the one about the blue Manc tramps in their city.

This is what I've said? It's base on l4 which does have a high concentration of houses, but 1.4%? Nah.

Surely different post codes will have different concentration of houses

They should have surveyed the same number of houses, not a post code number.

How are those stats a surprise?

We're a big club - look at all the clubs at the bottom and you can see we're in elite company with a worldwide fan base.

The smaller the club, the more localised the fanbase, that's kind of obvious. I don't even know what these stats are trying to point out.

Careful analysis will allow you to see that Newcastle are high up as everyone in that city supports that one club. All over the top 10 are what I'd define as little clubs - with Wigan being a prime example. The possible exception is Aston Villa which is perhaps the only surprise in that list.

If you have millions of fans are they all supposed to live on the doorstep of the stadium to be valid or something???

The stats that are 100% incorrect are the "People's Club" piecharts. That's just nonsense due to the size of the survey. Whilst the Everton/Liverpool split is ludicrous in itself (the real figure will be around 40/40 with Everton probably shading the fanbase locally), the real telling stat is the United/City split - there's no way at all that City have only a 15% share of the fan base in Manchester. I've been there a few times; there's simply no way that stat is true.
