I would say not far off lad

I hardly ever see Everton shirts when I am out and about and out of 20 odd good mates theres me and 1 other who are blues

I'd defo agree with this. There are a lot of Everton fans but the vast, vast majority all support the RS.

Flawed survey. In the small print at the bottom:

If those 9000 are split equally between the 20 clubs, that's 450 fans per club.

Is the use of 450 fans - the equivalent of 1.125% of Goodison's capacity, really representative of ALL Everton fans? I think not.

Absolutely this!

Absolutely this!

My cat ****s out better statistical analyses than this. Maybe 900 people surveyed on Merseyside (population 500,000), and results based on those that responded. Most Blues I know would never spend their time filling out the survey, but self glorifying full kit kopites would be sending the completed survey back by return.

One of the universities (can't remember who) did a big survey some years ago (I'm guessing in the 90s) that had us at over 90% at Goodison coming from the locality - "walkups" they called it.

No-one else come near I can't remember the next club but I don't think they got more than 78%, Liverpool and Utd were both in the high 60% if I remember.

Things have either changed remarkably or this is bollocks.

I don't think we're sexy enough to be replacing locals with that many out of town fans - so on a statistical basis it's bollocks.

but 1% go the game

This is it really. If you knocked on every door in Liverpool and asked who they support then a big majority would say Liverpool. If you then discounted everyone who hadn't been to a game in the last 5 years then the result would probably be reversed.

The majority of football fans in my school supported Everton - albeit this was a long time ago!

Is it not because Wigan only has about 3 postcodes anyway? How many people can you f*cking cram into L4?

95% of statistics are utter bollocks, 7 out of 12 people know this to be two thirds accurate.

So only 1% live in the post code, how many can a post code house? Won't that be different from area to area?

I am shocked by that 24% stat, but I don't believe there would be that much of a gap if you asked every Liverpool resident, in my personal experiences, for every Liverpool fan I know, there's two Evertonians, but that may be because I struggle making friends with Kopites and all my best mates are staunch blues.

Don't know how many of you are scousers but these projected differential figures of blues v reds in the city are laughable.

More red shirts doing shopping means the tourists are in town - get a grip ffs.
