The area around Goodison is also quite a poor area I'd say in terms of wealth, people in the postcode around the ground probably would also struggle to pay the high prices that season tickets cost.

Imagine if they took us out of Goodison, Walton would really struggle

Any stat on fan % is going to be flawed, being a fan, as in fanatical, is different from someone who doesn't follow football but says they support either team because the rest of their family does.

I'd say actually the % between fans, those who take a strong interest in football, is alot closer then 3-1

That is why the businesses around Goodison try and fight a move. They always had KEIOC posters all over the walls inside the chippys etc by the ground.

It is probably one of the worst areas in liverpool, no offence to anyone who lives there like but it probably is a reason for a low postcode - fan ratio.

Precisely why we need to stay at Goodison, Everton owe it 2 the community.

With a bit of money and more job opps and get rid of the scum, Walton and the fantastic community there, with a Premier League club housed, could thrive again

Im amazed its as high as 19% if it is just the l4 postcode, in fact id say thats more bollocks than anything else on there...there's no chance 1 in 5 season ticket holders at goodison live in walton.

With regards the city stats, id say age group plays a massive part...over 50's id say more everton, late 30's to 50 a lot more liverpool due to all the success they had in the 70's and early 80's...early to mid 30's probably pretty split, im 35 and both my schools were totally half and half, and same with my mates too, then 20's more them...what is more worrying is kids id say there's a lot more liverpool judging by the shirts you see around the city, but then a lot of that could be down to our pathetic merchandising operation.

I could go to every home game this season and still be counted as not local because i don't live around goodison. Shamefully i live in L18. What a wooly i am.

Let's face it, this analysis is a load of bollocks. Rightmove probably wanted to generate a little discussion about how each team's fanbase is made up rather than get a proper representative statistical analysis, if they were going to do that they'd probably draw up catchment areas for each club and ask fans on a matchday for starters and they'd most certainly have to ask more than 9000 fans in total.

Basing it on Post Code is a bit dodgy. I live less than a mile away from the ground but am in a different post code. Does that mean im not local?

As for the support percentage I would say most non football fans "support" Liverpool in this city. Mainly because they are bellends.

Out of true genuine going/watching the match types in this city I would say it is pretty even.

I'm presuming they mean the Liverpool postcode, as opposed to just L4 4EL.

There are different parts of Merseyside that have differing rates of prevalence when it comes to supporting football clubs. I always find that there are absolutely loads of blues from Birkenhead and Wallasey, there's no way that we are in the minority round there IMO.

However if you go out to places like Heswall or Hoylake there are always loads of really annoying kopites mixed in with a minority of blues.
