I'm not going to weigh in on the subject since I live in the US and have only been to one Everton home game, but I came across this infographic and was a bit surprised.

thoughts?

They never asked my postcode so I doubt they asked too many others, nonetheless loving the work regarding LFC there, and we have a very decent international and national support but not enough to lose the clubs identity.
That Wigan can't attract fans outside of their own postcode says more about the clubs size than the quality of other clubs fan base imo.
Its good we have a mix but until we start winning things and have money to burn we're not going to be getting too many of the LFC's fans imo.

Flawed survey. In the small print at the bottom:

'Rightmove monitored 9000 football fans in April 2012'.

If those 9000 are split equally between the 20 clubs, that's 450 fans per club.

Is the use of 450 fans - the equivalent of 1.125% of Goodison's capacity, really representative of ALL Everton fans? I think not.

I would say not far off lad

I hardly ever see Everton shirts when I am out and about and out of 20 odd good mates theres me and 1 other who are blues

Yeah I suppose but to me it seems a bit high, I am surprised by the figures generally though as around my season ticket I can't think if anyone who isn't a scouser

that's quite freaky, flip it upside down and the league table will look pretty similar to that at the end of the season. liverpool will fall quite a bit obviously.

Plus Everton as a football club is based in one of the most deprived areas in the country.

The proportion of local EFC fans, using Rightmove the estate agents, is likely to be lower than in other areas of the country, again affecting the accuracy and representativeness of the data questionable.

It's a survey and so is flawed. It's still flawed to compare bums on seats, but probably less so. If you compared Everton and Liberpool ticket sales I'd wager that a higher % of Evertonian punters live within 10 miles of the ground than the Liberpool lot.

Don't think it really matters tbh.Stats show that LFC supporters / followers / fans whatever are more likely to be nobs than their Everton equivalents.

I think the city breakdown is stupid. I'm sure a lot of people asked what team they support didn't even like football much, and in my experience those people always just say Liverpool here.

Although there's definitely more Liverpool fans than Everton ones in the city, in my experience. But not three times as many. No way.

Although I'm from L4 myself, when it says 'from same postcode' does that mean someone from Old Swan (L13), who is quite obviously local, is not counted as being so?
