Very true. Her only achievement was to be even worse than Boris Johnson, who in turn was worse than Theresa May. Cameron looks almost competent in comparison.

Cameron was the worst of the lot. Maybe he was more polished in his corruption and incompetence than the other clowns, but that doesn't changed the fact that the utter trainwreck that has been the UK since 2010 began with him (and the silmball Nick Clegg with the Lib Dems) weaseling their way into number 10. They then spent 5 years spreading their cutbacks and going back on every single promise that both parties made to get into government in the first place. The entirety of Brexit and referendum all started with a promise that he never thought he'd never have to keep when he offered it as a bargaining chip during the 2015 election. He was sure that he'd end up with another coalition government and so lied throughout the election. Then, once the election was over, instead of manning up and just admitting the truth that the referendum was not something he supported or would ever personally uphold if he was in power, he just rushed ahead with it leading to the most chaotic and shambolic mess you've ever seen with both sides making an absolute mess of their respective campaigns (with his own begin among the worst of them). Then, after the result didn't go his way, he resigned. He didn't take responsibility for it by either upholding the referendum personally and leading the way with it, nor did he take the other option of saying that he now felt that he was wrong to call the referendum and that he couldn't uphold and would go back to the British public for another election. Instead, he just crawled away like a coward and a snake, leaving everyone else to clean up his mess. Everything that has happened to this country in the last 12 plus years begins and ends with him. Peter Hitchens perfectly describes Cameron with the nickname "Mr Slippery."

Although you're correct in what you say, a politician delivering on an election promise is wild to think about. Good or bad, we don't see it anymore (and I include Starmer's pledges to become Labour leader in that).
Your timeline is spot on, though. And he was the catalyst for all of this mess and that was for personal gain, again, as you say.

The U.K. doesn’t have enough anyway. They are also far too complicated to be of use in the short term, but could be used to replace some crappy ex soviet planes within Eastern Europe that could go to Ukraine, if they exist……
Too much training.
Not enough spares.
Not enough aircraft which are capable of doing what they want them to do, not without giving them our current active fleet aircraft.
Too much intel loaded on to current aircraft, which we wouldn’t want any other countries to know about. Even more so as if they get shot down they’re then in the hands of the Russians.
So many factors that make it impossible, yet newspapers are printing the story and people will see it and get annoyed that we aren’t sending any.
