I was in the Baltic Village last night.

Great atmosphere, felt like you were abroad.
I said in another thread that due to work I was able to visit the M&S Arena and Euro Village last night. As a typical non-Eurovision person, I thought it was great.

The atmosphere, the organisation and the overall values of it (tolerance, respect etc.) stood out, so for me, it's been a massive success.

I'm sure all the hospitality businesses, after a few horrendous years of struggling, after paying (and still are) extortionate energy bills, food costs increasing by the week, some barely surving, welcome the crackpot diatribes from the saint of all wisdom : @davek .

I know, all those Covid handouts didn't go far enough for the entrepreneurs.

The only one's who've suffered due to Covid and the inflation on food and fuel brought about by the the Ukraine War and Brexit are the people they paid buttons to who worked for them in their restaurants, bars, clubs etc.

But let's all say a prayer for the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and their members that the Great God of Eurovision helps them stay out of the foodbanks for a week or two more.

I work at the arena and can confirm that they do sing that song, they do a Liverpool song book from previous eurovision winners and they all walk on at the end sing it during the interval. 🤮

Simple. Turn the sound off for 30 seconds. Nobody knows more than 30 seconds of the song anyway.
