How much from Le Coq Sportif for Everton? I'm reading back and can only come up with a figure of £3M over 5 years?!!

Thats it mate, really poor, as is the kitbag deal works out at 3 mill a year as well. So thats six mill a year gaurenteed, i think that a really poor return over a 5 and 10 year period. I imagine a large factor of these deals is the gaurented income aspect of them it prob allows us to negotiate debt with the banks. But it is really poor IMO.

Big money, so will the kopites all start wearing lacrosse gear now ?

They are obviously after the shirt sales, but looking at their stuff, I doubt that they will be able to match the shabites wardrobe needs.

I hope that our Le Coq deal expires before their new one ? Adidas may want a presence in the city.

About a monkey a fortnight.

 It wouldn't surprise me.

Not too successfully then given that Bernie Mullins recently stated that the club are facing £15M per year debt repayment as banks are now asking EFC to pay off the prinicipal as well as cough up interest payments.

We're woeful in the commercial department. Isn't this where Robert Earl's 'special marketing skills' are supposed to help us out?

Welcome American owners. This is standard fare in the US, the dollar amount is standard fare for major sports (good for New Balance frankly), and it would have been standard fare for us if we had signed the player that Nike sponsors in the US. Who also just signed an Upper Deck deal yesterday that will promote the Galaxy & the USMNT. Sorry - I'm rubbing salt in the wound.

It will be very interesting to watch the American sports marketing influence on English football in coming years. Be prepared for LOTS more marketing. You guys have been pampered. And I'm not exaggerating.

EDIT: And I can't believe our deal is that cheap. Highway robbery.
