People need to look at the Echo's fellow Trinity Mirror Group newspaper, the Newcastle Chronicle.

They won't help the Newcastle fans in their crusade against Mike Ashley either, for exactly the same reasons - financial self interest, favours and access from the club. Lucrative deals and access that allows them to create content that keeps them alive.

It's a running theme amongst Trinity Mirror Group newspapers - there is no desire for investigative journalism. They don't want to bite the hand that feeds them.

The difference is they do that in respect of Liverpool.

Thats where my angst lies.
