Everton was the better team towards the end of that first half. Liverpool have had two attacks and got two goals. So there is reason to be optimistic. Which obviously means they will get a deflected goal early in the second half, followed by a contentious penalty.

To be fair, both their goals were well taken. But they haven’t actually created much else.
